Kota Kinabalu is small, friendly and famous for its sunsets. I spent four nights here on the way to the islands, and the hotel turned out to be one of the highlights.
The room
Clean, quiet, with a balcony that faces west. The air conditioning is strong, the Wi-Fi was good enough for video calls, and the bed was firm in the way that Asian hotels usually are.
